Catherine received her Bachelor of Social Work from University of Portland in 2010. She then went on to complete her Master of Social Work at Portland State University in 2015. She is currently licensed as a clinical social worker and masters level drug and alcohol counselor in the state of Oregon. She has worked extensively with survivors of domestic violence and individuals experiencing houselessness. After receiving her masters, she went on to work in community mental health.

Since 2018, she has trained extensively in addiction medicine and harm reduction. She lead a team and built a robust MOUD program in a primary care setting alongside medical providers and behavioral health staff. She has also furthered her education on working with survivors of trauma. She currently works primarily with individuals struggling with surviving trauma, substance use, and mood disorders.
